fall... the time of year for change. Are you ready for yours?
A little bit about myself: I have always been very active and I practice what I preach....staying healthy and fit is a matter of first reaching your desired goals (realistic) and then being able to build and sustain a lifestyle that is maintainable.
I have been either teaching, coaching, guiding, training or motivating individuals and/or groups of individuals for 20+ years. It has been a passion and a blessing to be able to be part of someone's journey in discovering what their potential can be.
I have logged well over 21,000 hours of one on one training over the years and have found many individuals come in with the notion of physically changing their aesthetics, and that in itself can be a set back in achieving any success. Sometimes it is not about the physical appearance but how we live our lives. By changing the way we feel and how we eat and the things we do will in turn help in changing our bodies to their ideal state.
In many cases aches and pains don't allow us to build a proper foundation which in turn deter us from making any sustainable changes. So first those issues need to be addressed. They may have come about any many different ways. Due to them originating from an accident, sport injury, over training, incorrect posture or in-balances, and/or from just daily bad habits.
The second issue and I think one of the hardest aspects of making ourselves feel and look better is our eating habits. I really don't like using the word "DIET". Really the watered down truth of the matter is that we need to break bad habits and make smarter choices and be consistent on the follow through. I know it is easier said than done but together we can create a game plan that works for you. It takes education, self awareness and discipline.
Another aspect of being successful is identifying and addressing stressors in our daily lives. Sometimes it is work, relationships, friends, family, and/or ourselves. Once we are able to assess and clarify what we have control over and what we don't. Only then can we proceed to make the necessary changes to our lives so that our bodies can physically change.
Finally after putting in the necessary hours of weight training and cardio training, we need to make sure you are making the effort and the time to allow your body to get the necessary rest to recover and grow. All that means is getting you some good quality sleep. For many that is a challenge in itself.
I hope I have been able to express how I go about helping people in changing their lives for the better.
